US legislator and Republican leader Richard McCormick expressed confidence in Donald Trump’s return to the White House as the US presidential election count gets underway, predicting Kamala Harris would lose “soundly.”

Speaking about the chances of a Trump presidency, he stated that Washington and New Delhi “need each other” today and that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and former President Trump had a “good friendship” that might help them improve the world economy.

“If you look nationwide, if Kamala has a road to victory, it’s a very narrow road, and she’d win by about, at 273. electoral votes,” McCormick told ANI. However, I believe it to be a far cry from reality. I believe she will be severely beaten.

Additionally, he forecasted whether states would support Democrats or Republican candidates. He declared that Trump would win the race if he won Pennsylvania.

“It’s over if Trump wins Pennsylvania. He’s going to prevail on the land side, after all. He’s going to win Georgia, so I think Michigan will do the same,” the congressman stated.
“Arizona will likely go Republican, while Nevada may go Democrat,” he continued. Therefore, it appears that the path to Trump in those swing states is much simpler. However, the chances are genuinely in Trump’s favor if you look at the Rust Belt, Nevada, Arizona, and Georgia.

According to him, 50 counties would ultimately make the decision. “50 counties in America will decide for the 50 states the fate of the union” .

Speaking about the Indian-American community’s voting habits, he stated that while they have historically supported Democrats, they are currently leaning more toward Republicans. Additionally, he criticized the Biden-Harris administration’s tax and regulation policies that had an impact on the Indian diaspora.

“Traditionally they (Indian community) voted Democrat because they came over during the Clinton era,” the member of Congress stated.

He claimed that the Indian-American community is “overwhelmingly against” the taxes and regulations.

“They (Indian community) are the business owners, they are the wealthiest and most successful demographic in America, they’re punished by Democrats and their policies that basically punish any sort of success,” he stated.

According to McCormick, the community is now leaning toward the “conservative side” as a result of the Democrats’ activities.

“They are conservatives by nature. From a moral standpoint, they support the family. They support education and the right to choose. They have faith in commerce and business prospects. Since it helps them make money, create jobs, and build wealth for their family and America as a whole, they support less regulation and taxation. Therefore, I believe it will be quite significant for us,” he continued.

McCormick emphasized that the former president had a “really good relationship” with Prime Minister Narendra Modi because both leaders are pro-business when discussing the future of India-US relations under Donald Trump.

Additionally, he claimed that the United States and India “need each other” on the same side.

“Trump and Prime Minister Modi get along pretty well. Additionally, Prime Minister Modi will remain in office for some time. Both of them have excellent business acumen. Both of them strongly support business. Together, I believe they could expand the global economy. In my opinion, within the next five years, India’s GDP will rank third globally. That fits in nicely with our line of work, our standards, and our philosophical framework.

The GOP leader declared, “India is a great ally, a strategic ally in that region.”
“We need each other,” he continued. Having the biggest and oldest democracies on the same team, in my opinion, is good for us.

In the meantime, Donald Trump is predicted to receive 247 electoral votes and Kamala Harris 210, according to Politico’s most recent predictions for the presidential contest. In one of the most important presidential elections in modern US history, a contender must receive at least 270 electoral votes out of 538 to win the office.

Trump is looking to return to the White House after serving as the 45th president of the United States from 2017 to 2021.

By becoming the first female president in US history, Vice President Harris hopes to make history. The battleground states of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin are predicted to be the decisive states in the election. Georgia and North Carolina are battleground states that Trump has won.
