J&K Govt Allows 15% Syllabus Concession For Summer Zone Board Exams

The Jammu and Kashmir Government announced a 15 percent syllabus relaxation for Class 10th, 11th, and 12th students in the Summer Zone, ahead of the upcoming annual examinations in the Jammu Division.

Officials confirmed that the decision was made to provide relief to students facing academic disruptions caused by the long spells of inclement weather and a war-like situation last year. A government spokesperson stated, “It was decided to grant a 15% syllabus relaxation for Class 10th, 11th, and 12th students in the Summer Zone for the annual exams, considering the disruptions experienced during the previous academic session.”

The move aims to ensure academic parity and prevent students from being at a disadvantage in the forthcoming examinations, which are scheduled to begin from February 17 for Class 10, February 23 for Class 12, and February 28 for Class 11.

The decision comes amid ongoing efforts to address the academic challenges posed by adverse weather conditions and other prevailing circumstances that affected timely syllabus completion.
