Hindupur MLA and renowned actor-turned-politician Balakrishna, popularly known as Balayya, was seen engaging in jovial interactions with fellow MLAs in the Assembly lobby today. The atmosphere was lively as Balakrishna shared some humorous exchanges with his colleagues, reflecting his characteristic wit and camaraderie.
During the interaction, Balakrishna playfully addressed MS Raju as “Daku Maharaj,” joking about the water distribution issues affecting Hindupur. He humorously remarked that the Handri-Neeva waters, meant for Hindupur, were being diverted to Madakasira, leading to Balayya’s jest that Raju deserved the title of “Daku Maharaj” for his role in the water distribution.
MS Raju responded in good humor, emphasizing that Madakasira is a backward region that requires water support. He appealed to Balakrishna to have a large-hearted approach, to which the Hindupur MLA replied positively, stating that both Hindupur and Madakasira should be happy and well-supplied with water. He also acknowledged the importance of equitable water distribution for the region’s development.
In a brief discussion about the opposition, MLAs informed Balakrishna that only 11 members had attended the Governor’s speech for about 11 minutes before leaving the House. Following this, the MLAs enjoyed a fan moment, asking Balakrishna about his upcoming projects.
In response, Balakrishna shared that he has a promising story in the pipeline, which will be directed by filmmaker Malineni Gopichand. He expressed enthusiasm about starting the project soon, much to the excitement of his colleagues.
The assembly session concluded with Balakrishna enthralling the MLAs by chatting about politics and films, showcasing his signature style that blends humor, insight, and charisma.
