Dhurandhar 2: Ranveer Singh’s Film Crosses Rs 959 Crore at Box Office on Day 16

Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar 2 continues its phenomenal run at the Indian box office, crossing the Rs 959 crore mark in India on the sixteenth day of release. The film, starring Ranveer Singh as Jaskirat Singh Rangi—a character affected by personal tragedy—remains a dominant force even in its third week.

The movie sustained its stronghold across markets, with a notable jump in collections on Day 16, earning Rs 21.55 crore, a 17.8% increase from the previous day’s Rs 18.30 crore. Currently, Dhurandhar 2 is screening in over 13,330 theaters nationwide.

Breaking down its earnings, the film’s Day 16 collections include Rs 20.25 crore from Hindi, Rs 0.65 crore from Telugu, Rs 0.45 crore from Tamil, Rs 0.15 crore from Kannada, and Rs 0.05 crore from Malayalam.

Since its opening, Dhurandhar 2 has shown extraordinary momentum. Its first-week collections totaled Rs 674.17 crore, making it the biggest opening week for a single-language Indian film. The film added Rs 263.15 crore in its second week, maintaining its impressive pace.

A major milestone was achieved on March 29 (Day 11), when the film earned Rs 68.10 crore in a single day, propelling its cumulative India gross past Rs 846 crore. This figure surpassed the lifetime earnings of the original Dhurandhar, which accumulated Rs 840.20 crore over a longer period.

Currently, the film’s India gross stands at Rs 1,148.58 crore, outpacing other major blockbusters like Jawan and KGF Chapter 2 in its second-week performance.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar 2 narrates the story of Jaskirat Singh Rangi, played by Ranveer Singh, whose life is shaped by tragedy. Recruited by R&AW, he adopts the identity of Hamza Ali Mazari to operate covertly in Karachi.
