Mumbai: Salman Khan’s father, Salim Khan, was admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital on Tuesday morning, prompting family members, including Salman, to rush to his side. As fans and the film fraternity pray for his swift recovery, stories highlighting the close bond between Salim Khan and his son have resurfaced.
In a revealing past interview, Salim Khan opened up about why Salman Khan remains unmarried and shared lesser-known anecdotes from their relationship. He explained that Salman, despite wanting to marry and have a traditional family life, often finds himself attracted to ambitious women in the film industry, which has complicated his love life.
“Salman is mostly attracted to people he works with. They are exciting and good-looking, and there’s an attraction while working together. Often, it is the heroine of his film. Once commitment happens, they fall in love,” Salim revealed.
He added that Salman’s ideal partner would be someone who takes on typical motherly roles—dropping kids to school, cooking breakfast, helping with homework—things that women in the industry, focused on their careers, find difficult to balance. “Salman wants to marry and make them stay at home, but it’s not possible with women who are ambitious and career-oriented,” he explained.
Salim also shared how Salman often seeks a maternal figure in his romantic partners. “He looks for his mother in his girlfriends. He wants her to do all those normal things a mother does at home, which is not feasible for working women in films,” he said.
