Dr. Sejal Pawar got into trouble for comments she made at comic Pranit More’s stand-up show. Now, she is facing new accusations online that she got into medical school using a fake Scheduled Tribe (ST) certificate.
The claims came out just a few days after Maharashtra Cyber filed a FIR against More, Pawar, and others for allegedly making and sharing inappropriate and offensive material on stand-up comedy shows and social media sites.
Some people on social media said that Pawar got her MBBS spot through the ST quota, but Pawars aren’t on the ST list, so they questioned the validity of her caste certificate. “Sejal Pawar, who caused a stir on Pranit More’s comedy show when she talked about dead people, is now facing another fraud case.” This person wrote, “When the Khurpanch team looked at her college website and her grades, they saw that this madam had gotten her seat under the ST quota.

The latest controversy comes days after Maharashtra Cyber registered an FIR against Pawar, comedian Pranit More and others. The case relates to a clip from More’s stand-up show, where Pawar made comments about a male cadaver while discussing post-mortem examinations.
The clip triggered widespread criticism, with many saying the remarks were disrespectful to deceased individuals and failed to recognise the dignity of cadavers used for medical education.
