Hyderabad: On Friday night, a 28-year-old man from Telangana who worked part-time as a pizza delivery boy was killed in the US.

Kuncha Anshul, 28, was in North Philadelphia late at night delivering pizza when he was shot and killed. He was the son of Kuncha Srinivas and Neelima of Gundlapochampally in the Malkajgiri area of Medchal.

Anshul moved to the United States in 2023 and worked for a company called KWC. On the weekends, he delivered pizzas to make extra money.

There was an order for three pizzas to be delivered to a house on Edgley Street that is part of Raymond Roses Homes on Friday night. At 12:30 am, Anshul went to the house to bring something. As soon as they got out of the car and into the house’s driveway, three shots were fired by men in masks who they did not know.

Anshul, who had been shot in the back of the head, passed out right there. People walking by saw him and called the cops. The cops said they don’t know why the murder happened yet. Three bullet shells were found at the scene, they said.

A post on ‘X’ late Saturday night from the Consulate General of India in New York said, “We are deeply saddened by the untimely death of Mr. Anshul Kuncha, an Indian national in Philadelphia, PA.” During this hard time, our thoughts and deepest sorrow are with his family. The Consulate is in touch with Anushul’s family and is doing everything it can to help.”We were told that Anshul had been shot three times in the head. Tanvi, Anshul’s sister, told PTI that nothing was taken from him. She also said that he was told to bring pizza in an empty area, but it turned out to be a “decoy.”

“It was a trick.” It was meant to kill him. I have no idea what they got out of it or what their goals were. “They killed my brother and took him,” she said.

She was looking for justice and asked the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to bring her brother’s body back as soon as possible.

“We were told that the body would be given to them on Monday.” Please return our brother. That’s all I need. I do want fairness. It’s just a trick, so we don’t think it’s real. From what the US media say, it looks like there were two shooters with black masks and backpacks, she added.
