There were no winners in Monday night’s Powerball drawing, causing the jackpot to roll over to an estimated $930 million ahead of the next drawing. The current cash value is approximately $429 million as of Tuesday morning. The jackpot has remained unclaimed since September 6, when two winning tickets sold in Missouri and Texas split a record-setting $1.787 billion prize.
In Monday’s drawing, a lower-tier prize was awarded to a Massachusetts player who matched four of the first five numbers along with the Powerball, winning $50,000. Additionally, a Worcester resident won $25,000 a year for life through the Massachusetts State Lottery.
The upcoming Powerball drawing is scheduled for 10:59 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets, which cost $2 each, are available for purchase at Massachusetts State Lottery retailers statewide until 9:50 p.m. Saturday. Powerball drawings are conducted three times a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. The next chance to win the historic jackpot is this weekend.
