Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal recently opened up about his experience of becoming a father and lauded his wife Katrina Kaif’s dedication as a mother. Speaking at The Hollywood Reporter India event, Kaushal described Katrina as a “warrior mother” and expressed his pride in her resilience since the birth of their three-month-old son, Vihaan.
Kaushal, who welcomed Vihaan in November 2025, shared insights into his new role as a parent. When asked about his experience of fatherhood, he said, “He is three months old right now, and there’s very little a dad has to do at this stage. I’m just trying to be a cheerleader, waiting for him to grow so I can contribute more.”
He also praised Katrina’s efforts, emphasizing her strength during pregnancy and motherhood. “Right now, the mother (Katrina) is being the superhero. She’s been a warrior through her pregnancy and continues to be one as a mother. I am incredibly proud of her and love her so much,” he said.
Kaushal described fatherhood as a transformative experience, calling it his biggest moment of 2025. “Becoming a father is a magical feeling. I expected to be very emotional and ecstatic, but it’s actually been the most grounding moment of my life,” he added.
The couple announced Vihaan’s arrival with heartfelt messages on social media, calling him their “ray of light” and expressing gratitude for their new addition. While Katrina has temporarily stepped back from work, Vicky continues to pursue his film projects.
As the couple adjusts to parenthood, Kaushal’s reflections highlight the evolving dynamics of modern families and the profound impact of welcoming a new life.
