Vishal Bhardwaj on Collaborating with Shah Rukh Khan: “Inshallah, This Time, The Miracle Will Happen”

*Filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj, known for directing Shahid Kapoor in *O’Romeo, has expressed his desire to work with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, revealing that a collaboration is still on his wish list.

In an interview with ANI, Bhardwaj shared that although he has frequently discussed story ideas with Shah Rukh over the years, the two have yet to collaborate on a project. He stated, “I think it (collaboration) has to happen. I talk to Shah Rukh so many times throughout the year about various stories. He always responds to my messages, and he’s a wonderful person. He’s the greatest charmer of our country.”

Bhardwaj further emphasized Shah Rukh’s popularity and charm, saying, “Who doesn’t love Shah Rukh Khan? Everyone loves him. There’s something so special in him as a person that makes him Shah Rukh Khan. During the making of O’Romeo, I also sent him a story, and he always says, ‘There should be a film that we do together.’ So, I hope, inshallah, this time, the miracle will happen and we will finally work together.”

About O’Romeo

O’Romeo, directed and written by Bhardwaj, is inspired by Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai. The film narrates the story of gangster Ustara, played by Shahid Kapoor, who was once part of a powerful gang before being exiled after killing a don’s brother. The story also features Triptii Dimri as Afsha Qureshi aka Rani Sharma, along with an ensemble cast including Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, Tamannaah Bhatia, Disha Patani, Farida Jalal, and Vikrant Massey.
