Nothing CEO Carl Pei has officially announced that the company will not release a flagship smartphone in 2026. In a YouTube video, Pei confirmed that the Nothing Phone (3) will remain the brand’s flagship throughout this year, with no plans for a Nothing Phone (4).

The company’s launch strategy remains consistent with previous models, such as the Phone (3), which arrived two years after the Phone (2). Pei emphasized that this approach will continue, meaning no new flagship will debut in 2026. However, this does not rule out other releases.

Pei revealed that Nothing will introduce the Phone (4a) series, which will feature upgrades in materials, design, display, camera, and more. The company also discussed upcoming software developments, including Essential Space, a feature that allows users to create custom widgets. Currently in alpha testing, the feature is expected to enter beta soon.

What We Know About the Nothing Phone (4a) Series

Although the flagship is absent, the Phone (4a) series is confirmed to launch soon. Both the standard Phone (4a) and the Phone (4a) Pro have appeared on regulatory platforms, hinting at key specifications.

The standard model has been listed on IMEI databases and received certification from UAE’s TRDA with the model number A069. Meanwhile, the Phone (4a) Pro surfaced on the EU’s EPREL database, confirming a 5,080mAh battery with 50W fast charging. It has also been certified in India by BIS under the model number A069P.

While hardware details remain limited, rumors suggest a launch in the first quarter of 2026, potentially before March. Further information is expected to be released as the launch approaches.
