Rahul Gandhi slams PM Modi on the CBSE OSM row, saying, “PM Wants Youth To Keep Making Reels, Fry Pakodas.”

New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress party, praised student Sarthak Sidhant and his friend Nisarga Adhikary for revealing the “collusion” between the CBSE and COEMPT on Sunday. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants young people to keep “making reels and fry ‘pakodas,'” but these two kids asked questions and got answers.

Gandhi posted on X a video of his meeting last week with Sarthak Siddhant, an 18-year-old student who has been hurt by the CBSE’s onscreen marking system (OSM). Siddhant has said that there were problems in the bidding process used to choose a vendor for the OSM exercise in Class 12 board exams.

Gandhi wrote in Hindi on the post that went with the video, “Sarthak is only 18, but he is the best in terms of his mind, courage, and morals.” “He and his partner, Nisarg, did something that the country’s big news outlets and investigative reporters couldn’t: they told the whole country about how CBSE and COEMPT were working together.

An 18-year-old from the country showed to be faster and smarter than the CBI. Gandhi said that this victory for the youth was really a loss for the government. “Modiji wants our young people to keep making reels and frying pakodas without doubt or question.” “But these young men did ask questions and find the answers,” said the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha. “This is India’s real youth power: willing to learn, curious, and aware.” “Remember that the future of the country will not be lost,” he said. After the on-screen marking system scandal, the government fired two top CBSE officials. But the opposition Congress called it a show and a cover-up, and Rahul Gandhi called for Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to be fired and an independent investigation to be started right away.

In the video, Gandhi asks Sidhant how he learned about what he says are problems with the way the OSM bids are approved. He is also praised by Gandhi for doing the work of an independent reporter.

In a post about the meeting with Sidhant and his family last Tuesday, Gandhi said, “Sarthak, stay firm on your principles.” On Tuesday, Sidhant also talked to a group of lawmakers about the problems he thinks happened with the OSM bidding process.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) got rid of the old way of checking papers and replaced it with an on-screen scoring system for Class 12 that is digital.

But there was a stir when some Class 12 students said that the scanned copies of their answer sheets that the board posted did not match their handwriting. This caused worries about answer-sheet mismatch in the OSM system.
