OnePlus Nord 6 Unveiled: First Look at the Company’s Latest Mid-Range Smartphone

The OnePlus Nord 6 has officially arrived, marking the company’s newest offering in the mid-range segment and the successor to last year’s Nord 5. This device is a variant of the OnePlus Turbo 6 that was launched in China earlier this year, but for now, India remains the exclusive market slated to receive this model. Today, we bring you an initial unboxing and overview of the key specifications.

The packaging for the Nord 6 has received a fresh, streamlined redesign. While it retains the signature blue Nord color scheme, it ditches the large triple Nord logos that have been a hallmark since the original launch in 2020. The new look aligns more closely with OnePlus’s flagship devices, with a cleaner and more minimalist aesthetic, albeit with distinctive color accents.

Inside the box, users will find the phone itself along with a matching silicone case—an inclusion that has become standard for OnePlus devices in India. Despite industry-wide downsizing trends, the company continues to include these protective cases, which is appreciated by fans and new buyers alike. Also included is an 80W fast charger accompanied by a red charging cable, ensuring quick power-ups.

Under the hood, the Nord 6 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The device features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, similar to the one seen on the OnePlus 15. It packs a substantial 9000mAh battery, promising long-lasting usage, along with IP66/68/69/69K ingress protection for enhanced durability. The phone will be available in three colors: silver, black, and green.

Camera-wise, the Nord 6 features a revised setup compared to the Chinese Turbo 6. Its primary 50MP Sony Lytia sensor remains unchanged, but the device now includes an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The front camera has been upgraded from 16MP to a 32MP sensor, promising improved selfies and video calls.

Further details and the official release date are expected soon. The OnePlus Nord 6 will go on sale starting April 7. Stay tuned for more updates as the device hits the market.
