The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to release the admit card for JEE Main 2026 shortly. Candidates registered for the upcoming exam will be able to access their hall tickets via the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The admit card will specify important details such as the exam center and shift (morning or afternoon), and it is an essential document for appearing in the exam, as well as during counselling and admission processes.

Key Details and Expectations

While NTA has not officially announced the exact release date, the agency has indicated in the JEE Main brochure that the admit cards are typically issued 3 to 4 days prior to the exam. Based on previous years’ trends, the admit cards for the session 1 exam are most likely to be available around January 17 or 18, ahead of the exam scheduled from January 21 to 23.

What Candidates Need to Know

  • Documents Required: Candidates must carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid government-issued ID such as a school ID, PAN card, Voter ID, Passport, Aadhaar Card (with photograph), or other accepted proof.
  • Travel Arrangements: The exam city slip, which has already been issued, indicates the city where candidates will take the exam. Since NTA will allocate a specific exam center within that city, candidates should plan their travel accordingly. Those traveling from afar should book their transportation and accommodation well in advance.
  • Official Updates: Candidates are advised to regularly check the official websites, jeemain.nta.nic.in and nta.ac.in, for the latest updates and notifications regarding the admit card and exam schedule.

Previous Year Trends

In 2025, the admit card was released a few days before the exam—on January 18 for exams held from January 22-24, and on January 23 for exams from January 28-30. Based on this pattern, the expected release date for JEE Main 2026 session 1 admit cards is likely around January 17 or 18.

Candidates are encouraged to stay alert for official announcements to ensure they receive their admit cards on time and are fully prepared for the exam.
