Netflix India hosted a star-studded event on Tuesday titled “What’s Next On Netflix,” where the streaming giant announced its ambitious slate of upcoming projects for 2026. The event, held in Mumbai, was hosted by Aparshakti Khurana and Jamie Lever, and saw attendance from some of the biggest names in Bollywood.

The company revealed plans for 11 films and 19 series, promising a diverse lineup that spans various genres and narratives. Notable stars such as Anil Kapoor, Vijay Varma, Saif Ali Khan, and many others graced the occasion, highlighting Netflix’s commitment to high-quality content.

Among the announced projects, some key titles include:

Ikka
Directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra, Ikka features Akshaye Khanna and Sunny Deol, reuniting stars from the 1997 film Border. The story centers on an incorruptible lawyer forced into defending a murder suspect, pushing him to the edge as he fights to save his career and personal life. The cast also includes Dia Mirza, Tillotama Shome, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Shishir Sharma, and Akansha Ranjan.

Hum Hindustani
Inspired by true events, this film chronicles India’s first democratic election post-independence. Directed and written by Rahul Dholakia, the story follows a team of officials battling chaos and resistance to deliver the nation’s inaugural election. The cast features Saif Ali Khan, Pratik Gandhi, Deepak Dobriyal, Mimi Chakraborty, Sarika, and Shraddha Dangar.

Ghooskhor Pandat
A crime-thriller directed by Ritesh Shah and written by Neeraj Pandey, Ghooskhor Pandat follows Ajay Dikshit, a bent police officer caught in a global conspiracy while investigating a girl injured in Delhi. Manoj Bajpayee, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Saqib Saleem, Akshay Oberoi, and Divya Dutta star in this action-packed narrative.

Accused
A gripping drama about a queer doctor in London accused of sexual misconduct, whose life spirals into chaos as her marriage is tested and secrets unfold. Konkona Sen Sharma and Pratibha Rannta lead the cast.

Gandhari
Featuring Taapsee Pannu, Gandhari tells the mythic tale of a mother seeking vengeance after her daughter’s abduction and her own injury in a brutal attack. Set against a backdrop of child trafficking and ancient lore, the film promises a powerful narrative of resilience and justice.

Netflix’s announcement reflects its focus on diverse storytelling and high-profile projects, aiming to captivate audiences in 2026 with a mix of action, drama, historical, and mythic tales. Fans and critics alike await these upcoming releases, set to expand the streaming platform’s impressive content library.
