In her latest Instagram post, Dimri reflected on her collaboration with director Vishal Bhardwaj, her co-stars, and the challenges and growth she experienced through the role.
The 31-year-old actress described Afshan as a complex character, stating, “Afshan isn’t just a character, she’s fire and fragility in the same breath. She feels deeply, loves fiercely, and fights with everything she has. This role challenged me, demanded honesty, and pushed me beyond my comfort zone, for which I’ll always be grateful.”
Highlighting her work with director Vishal Bhardwaj, Dimri praised his passion and dedication. “Our film is built with immense passion, heart, and belief. From Vishal sir, I learned how to surrender to the character and truly live Afshan’s truth,” she shared.
Dimri also expressed admiration for her co-stars. She described Shahid Kapoor as “incredibly hardworking and supportive,” sharing that she enjoyed sharing the screen with him. She also spoke fondly of reuniting with Avinash Tiwary, noting, “From sharing a love story in Laila Majnu to standing as rivals in this film, it’s been such a beautiful journey.” Additionally, she lauded Vikrant Massey’s sincerity and craft, saying, “He elevates every scene he’s in,” and expressed her appreciation for working with talented actresses Fareeda Jalal, Nana Patekar, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Disha Patani.
Concluding her post, Dimri conveyed her pride and gratitude for the entire O’ Romeo team. “It takes a village to make a film, and I’m so proud of our cast and crew for putting their heart and soul into this. O’ Romeo is now in cinemas—go watch it and let Afshan find a place in your heart too,” she urged.
O’ Romeo faces competition at the box office from titles like Tu Yaa Main, starring Shanaya Kapoor and Adarsh Gourav, but Dimri’s heartfelt message highlights her enthusiasm and support for the film’s success.
