HYDERABAD, India – A fire broke out in a locked house at Kukatpally in the early hours of Sunday morning, leaving no one injured. Fire personnel were able to control the blaze in time, preventing further damage.

According to eyewitnesses, the fire is believed to have been triggered by an oil lamp left burning in the house, which was locked by its residents who had gone out to a nearby temple to attend special prayers for Maha Shivaratri.

The incident occurred in an LIG house at KPHB Colony, with fire officials confirming that the oil lamp is thought to have been the cause of the fire. The residents were fortunate to have avoided serious harm.

“I was sleeping in the adjacent house when I heard a loud explosion,” said a neighbor, who wished to remain anonymous. “I rushed out and saw the house on fire. The firemen arrived quickly and put out the flames.”

The fire personnel said that they were alerted to the incident around 11:45 PM and arrived at the scene within minutes. “We received a call about a fire in a house at KPHB Colony and rushed to the scene,” said a fire official. “We were able to control the fire quickly and prevent it from spreading to neighboring houses.”

The residents of the house, who were identified as a family of four, have been taken in by relatives. They were reportedly shaken but otherwise unharmed.

Maha Shivaratri, a major Hindu festival, was celebrated in many parts of the city on Sunday. The festival involves the worship of Lord Shiva and is marked by fasting and prayer.

The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of fire safety and the need to be cautious when using oil lamps and other flammable materials.

The police have launched an investigation into the incident and are looking into the cause of the fire. The family’s house has been damaged in the fire, but the extent of the damage is not yet known.

Fire safety experts have warned people to be careful when using oil lamps and other flammable materials, especially during festivals and special occasions.

“We urge people to be cautious and take necessary precautions when using oil lamps and other flammable materials,” said a fire safety expert. “It’s always better to be safe than sorry.”

The incident has also raised concerns about the safety of residents in the area. The local police and fire department have promised to take steps to prevent such incidents in the future.

In the meantime, residents are advised to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities. The police have also set up a helpline for residents to report any fire-related incidents.
