Mumbai: Do Deewane Seher Mein, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Mrunal Thakur, opened to a modest yet positive start at the box office, emerging as the fifth-highest Bollywood opener of 2026 so far.
Day 1 Collection
According to early estimates, the romantic drama earned ₹1.25 crore net on its opening day at the Indian box office. Including GST, the film’s gross collection stands at ₹1.47 crore.
Directed by Ravi Udyawar, the film began its theatrical run with an overall morning occupancy of 5.77%. Footfalls improved through the day, rising to 7.94% during evening shows and peaking at 14.96% during the night screenings.
Faces Strong Competition
Despite positive word-of-mouth, the film’s opening numbers were impacted by stiff competition from other releases, including O’Romeo, Border 2, Mardaani 3, and Assi. The crowded release window limited its overall screen count and audience turnout.
Trade analysts suggest that the film’s performance over the weekend will be crucial in determining its long-term box office trajectory. With favourable audience response, the makers will be hoping for growth in collections over the coming days.
