An Iranian television channel announced a reward for civilians who successfully capture and hand over U.S. fighter pilots to authorities. The channel broadcasted an appeal stating, “Dear and honorable people of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province, if you capture the enemy pilot or pilots alive and deliver them to police and military forces, you will receive a valuable reward and bonus.”

The announcement came amid reports that a U.S. fighter jet was shot down over Iran on Friday, marking the first known loss of a U.S. aircraft within the country since the conflict escalated on February 28. According to reports from The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, the aircraft involved was an F-15E fighter jet, crewed by a pilot and a weapons-systems officer.
