Ranveer Singh’s blockbuster Dhurandhar 2 has maintained its remarkable run at the box office, surpassing expectations on its tenth day and edging closer to becoming the highest-grossing Indian film in the United States.

Latest Box Office Figures

According to Sacnilk, Dhurandhar 2 earned Rs 62.85 crore nett across 18,820 screens on its second Saturday, with an overall occupancy of 44.8%. The film’s total collection in India now stands at Rs 778.77 crore, with a worldwide gross reaching Rs 1,226.44 crore.

The Hindi version led the charge, grossing approximately Rs 58 crore in India, followed by Rs 3 crore from Telugu markets, while Tamil regions saw comparatively lower numbers. Notably, this Saturday set a new record for Hindi films, surpassing Pushpa 2’s previous highest of Rs 46 crore in a single day.

In terms of occupancy, Hindi screens saw a peak of 53.87%, with 35.23% in the morning, 58% in the afternoon, 60.15% in the evening, and 62.08% at night.

Overseas Performance

Internationally, the film earned an impressive $19.3 million in the US, making it the third-highest-grossing Indian film in that market. Sunday projections suggest that Dhurandhar 2 could surpass Baahubali 2’s $20.2 million to claim the top spot in US collections.

Background and Context

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the action-packed film stars Ranveer Singh alongside a star-studded cast including Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, Gaurav Gera, and Sara Arjun. The film opened with historic numbers, earning Rs 761 crore globally within its first four days. It continued its strong performance through the weekdays, with collections of Rs 64 crore on Monday, Rs 58 crore on Tuesday, Rs 49 crore on Wednesday, and Rs 53 crore on Thursday in India.

Dhurandhar 2 made history as the first Indian film to cross Rs 100 crore in a single day in one language.

Set against the backdrop of Karachi’s Lyari neighborhood, the story follows Hamza Ali Mazari’s rise in the underworld, revealing his transformation from Jaskirat Singh Rangi—a young man turned covert operative. The film is produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar and was released on March 19 in multiple languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
