Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor has shared his enthusiasm for exploring the future of his hit film Animal, as the movie prepares for its upcoming release in Japan. Following a special screening for select Japanese audiences, Kapoor and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga engaged with viewers, offering insights into the film’s universe and the franchise’s expansion.

During the event, Vanga revealed plans for Animal Park, the next chapter in the series, which will delve deeper into the story of the characters. He explained, “Animal Park will start soon after I finish my current project. It’s a story of a war between two brothers who look alike, and I thought the title fits perfectly. We plan to begin shooting in mid-2027.”

Kapoor, who portrays Ranvijay in the film, expressed his eagerness to return to the character and continue the narrative. “I can’t wait to get back on set with Sandeep and play this character — and now another one. The story is a continuation, and Sandeep had the second part very clear even while filming the first,” he said.

He also described the collaborative process as creatively stimulating, adding, “It’s very exciting and inspiring for me. Sandeep and I stay in touch regularly, discussing ideas. I’m really looking forward to returning as Ranvijay and Aziz.”

Highlighting the film’s high-octane action sequences, Kapoor shared that they were among the most enjoyable aspects of filming. “The action scenes were so new and original; I thoroughly enjoyed them. I had never done so much action before,” he noted.

He recounted a particularly challenging sequence — the climax fight with Bobby Deol’s character, Abrar — which was shot over ten days on an airplane tarmac in England. “We were freezing, covered in blood and prosthetics, fighting shirtless for nearly a week. It was tough but unforgettable,” Kapoor recalled.

Kapoor also praised the interval axe fight and motorcycle machine-gun scene, calling them “what action films are truly made for.”

As Animal prepares for its international debut in Japan, the franchise’s global journey continues to build momentum, promising more adrenaline-fueled chapters ahead.
