Music composer and singer Vishal Dadlani has made it clear he has “zero respect” for those seeking opportunities through political influence or connections. Hours after blocking an aspiring singer and a politician who tried to pressure him, Vishal revealed a new initiative aimed at discovering raw musical talent through live performances.

In a candid social media post, Vishal warned aspiring artists against approaching him via political channels, stating, “Some advice for newbie singers. Don’t f*ckin’ get some mantri-ji or his secretary to call me. That is a guaranteed way to NEVER meet me. I have zero respect for people who try to make their way through ‘contacts’.” He added that he had blocked the politician and the individual attempting to use connections, emphasizing that even talented singers who rely on ‘sifaarish’ (favoritism) would find no interest from him.

Vishal’s message was reinforced by rapper Hanumankind, who commented with crown emojis in support of his stance. But hours later, Vishal shared a more positive update, revealing his plans to involve genuine talent through a live audition process.

“Tomorrow, I’m going to announce something special. Not announce, we’ll have trials first,” Vishal explained. He emphasized that he wants to see whether people still crave authentic, original music beyond the heavily processed tracks promoted by streaming platforms and TV channels.

He announced that aspiring singers will have the opportunity to perform live in front of him and an audience, with no need for direct song submissions. Interested artists should wait for an email ID he will share, where they can send videos of their live performances. From these submissions, Vishal will select five to seven artists to perform during the initial trial shows, which will be held in Mumbai.

The live performances will be open to audiences of 150 to 200 people, with ticketing links to be shared soon. Vishal emphasized that the initiative will be inclusive, spanning all states, cities, age groups, languages, and genres, with the audience involved in naming the project and choosing the participating artists.

He concluded by highlighting his desire for “raw, crazy, original music,” expressing concern over the influence of AI and processed content in the current musical landscape. The initiative aims to reconnect audiences with authentic, artist-led music, free from politics and commercial constraints.
