In a tragic incident, a man was apprehended from Rajasthan after allegedly killing his wife and three daughters in Delhi’s Samaypur Badli. The accused, identified as Munchun Kewat, was arrested after a three-day search, officials said.
According to the police, Kewat, a vegetable seller in Azadpur Mandi, was detained from his hometown in Kishangarh, Rajasthan, on Saturday. He reportedly confessed that he committed the murders due to mounting financial distress and frequent disputes over money with his wife.
The victims—30-year-old Anita and her daughters, aged three, four, and five—were found dead at their rented residence on Wednesday with their throats slit.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer North) Hareshwar Swami stated that during initial questioning, Kewat admitted to the killings, citing financial problems and a desire to avoid raising the children as reasons for his actions.
The investigation continues as authorities work to piece together the full circumstances of the case.
