In Rajasthan’s Bhilwara district, a guy wearing a mask that looked like Prime Minister Narendra Modi allegedly tried to break into a cell phone store. Even though his attempt was unsuccessful, the entire performance was captured on camera.
CCTV purportedly captured the thief with the Modi mask trying to break into the cell phone store. The incident happened on Sunday night in the vicinity of Bhilwara’s Kareda police station.
The man was spotted on CCTV attempting to use an iron rod to break the lock of a mobile store while donning a mask with the prime minister’s visage that is frequently seen at political gatherings.
The culprit made many attempts to break the lock but was unsuccessful, according to police authorities cited in a PTI report. A CCTV camera placed close to the store recorded the entire event.
During the attempted theft, the suspect concealed his face with a Narendra Modi mask, according to Kareda Station House Officer Puran Mal Meena, who spoke to PTI.A mask with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visage on it was worn by the individual attempting the heist. But his face may be seen in video taken by other local CCTV cameras, and efforts are being made to identify him,” Meena told PTI.
Recce during the day?
The same individual was spotted walking around the area throughout the day without the Narendra Modi mask and wearing the same clothes, according to police officials.
The same night, a mobile store about 800 meters from the location of the attempted break-in was broken into, according to the SHO. The police haven’t yet established whether the individual on the CCTV tape was a part of the theft, though.The store where the theft occurred does not have any CCTV footage available. Therefore, whether the same individual was involved in that incident is yet unknown,” the SHO stated.
The suspect is being identified and tracked down, according to the police.
