Mahindra is preparing to unveil a highly anticipated facelift of its flagship SUV, the XUV700, expected to debut in the first week of January 2026. The new model, potentially named XUV7XO, aims to deliver notable updates in design and interior features while retaining its existing performance capabilities.

Design and Exterior Updates: The facelift will feature a refreshed exterior with a redesigned front grille. Updated LED headlights with a distinctive C-shaped DRL signature. New bumpers, stylish alloy wheels, and revised tail-lights. Mahindra intends to give the SUV a global-level freshness, enhancing its road presence and appeal to new buyers.

Interior and Comfort Enhancements: The interior will see a significant transformation with a new dashboard layout centered around a triple-screen setup: a 12.3-inch central touchscreen, a 12.3-inch co-passenger display, and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The configuration aims to evoke a premium cockpit experience. The possibility of including Harman/Kardon premium speakers is also speculated. Comfort features are upgraded with ventilated front seats, a driver seat memory function, and multi-zone climate control for long-drive comfort.

Safety and Advanced Driver Assistance: Safety remains a priority. The facelift will introduce an enhanced Level-2 ADAS system with features like adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and emergency braking. It will also be equipped with a 360-degree camera, disc brakes, and multiple airbags, positioning it as a segment leader in safety.

Powertrain and Performance: The engine lineup will be retained, featuring the 2.0-liter turbo petrol and 2.2-liter turbo diesel engines, paired with 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions. Performance, smoothness, and highway capabilities are expected to stay consistent, making the facelift an attractive option for enthusiasts.

Pricing and Market Position: Official pricing details are yet to be announced, but industry insiders suggest a slight increase due to the extensive upgrades. Mahindra aims to keep prices competitive to maintain its strong presence in the SUV segment.

The Mahindra XUV700 facelift, likely to be called XUV7XO, offers a modern design, advanced features, and robust safety, reaffirming Mahindra’s commitment to delivering premium SUVs to the market.
