Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Sunday that we should follow Lord Buddhas teachings because the world needs them now more than ever. He said Lord Buddhas messages are important for both now and the future.
The prime minister was likely thinking about the war between the US and Iran which has made the world uncertain and hurt the economy.
Before Buddha Purnima, the prime minister wished his countrymen. He said an organisation in Chile South America is spreading Lord Buddhas teachings. He also said that Lord Buddhas teachings help people connect with nature.
“Lord Buddha taught us that peace starts from within. He also said that the biggest victory is when we defeat our self. Today when the world is full of tensions and conflicts Lord Buddhas teachings are very important ” PM Modi said in his radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’. Lord Buddhas teachings show us the way. Lord Buddhas messages are good, for everyone. We should follow Lord Buddha.
