Actress Yami Gautam has expressed high praise for the upcoming film Dhurandhar 2, starring Ranveer Singh, describing it as an experience that viewers will never forget. Speaking at the News18 Rising Bharat Summit 2026, Yami revealed she has already watched the highly anticipated sequel and called it “beyond extraordinary.”
While rumors have circulated about a cameo appearance by Yami in the film, the actress remained tight-lipped, stating that any official updates regarding Dhurandhar 2 would come directly from director Aditya Dhar. When asked if she had any films releasing on March 19, she responded, “Any main information related to Dhurandhar will be shared by Aditya himself. I have an important appointment in the cinema hall that day, so I’ll see you all there.”
Reflecting on the success of the original Dhurandhar, Yami shared her confidence in the film’s impact from the start. She recalled reading the initial script during the filming of Article 370, describing it as a 40-page script that moved her to tears. She praised director Aditya Dhar’s dedication, sincerity, and effort in bringing the project to life.
Yami further revealed that she has already watched Dhurandhar 2, describing her experience as “beyond extraordinary” and emotionally powerful. She recounted watching the film just before a flight, unable to find words to express her feelings to Aditya, but deeply moved by the film’s grandeur. “Aditya loves his audience and the country, and he has poured his life into making this film. Dhurandhar 2 will be an experience that the audience will never forget,” she added.
Dhurandhar is a high-octane spy action thriller produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar under Jio Studios and B62 Studios. Led by Ranveer Singh, the film also features Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, and Sanjay Dutt. Despite mixed-to-positive reviews from critics, the film was a blockbuster, grossing ₹1300 crore worldwide and becoming the second-highest-grossing Hindi film of all time. The sequel is set to release on March 19.
